SettleMint selected as 1 of 18 startups to pitch at MoneyConf in Madrid!
SettleMint is on a roll! After being selected as one of the 20 most innovative Blockchain startups by the Smart Dubai Office, Matthew Van Niekerk’s and Roderik van der Veer’s startup is now one of the very happy and very few to pitch at MoneyConf in Madrid on June 7, 2017.
Approaching its first birthday, SettleMint has developed several working proof of concepts for clients around the world and in various industries, based on Blockchain technologies. The secret to their rapid prototyping and quick delivery lies in their core product and USP, Mint. Mint is SettleMint’s distributed middleware solution, which makes blockchain technologies accessible to users, be they individuals, enterprises or governments. Mint bridges the gap between applications and blockchain technologies.
“We’re very excited to be selected to pitch, because we know there is a lot of competition for a chance to showcase and hopefully shine at MoneyConf. It is already gratifying that that investors and thought leaders making the selection see the potential of SettleMint.” says Matthew Van Niekerk, co-founder and CEO of SettleMint. Roderik van der Veer, co-founder and CTO of SettleMint is looking forward to this chance to pitch: “MoneyConf is an ideal event to present our know how, vision of the future and to meet interesting people with the same mindset about the possibilities and opportunities of emerging technologies like Blockchain.”
Good luck, guys! SettleMint, a Blockchain startup to watch.

What SettleMint hopes to contribute to the visitors of this conference
SettleMint’s middleware solutions bridge the gap between front end technology and blockchain technologies. We will display the versatility of SettleMint’s middleware, Mint at the conference by demonstrating a selection of the applications that have already been built using Mint. By doing so, we want to provide visitors with more than slideware and allow them to interact directly with blockchain based applications to fully understand the potential of this technology.
We believe the visitors will feel reassured in the knowledge that a typical proof of concept can be delivered in 3-6 weeks, not months so they should walk away feeling confident to experiment themselves with blockchain technologies. Another comforting factor will be the knowledge that Mint is built with bank grade security and quality.
While working together on a blockchain application for a large financial institution, Matthew Van Niekerk and Roderik van der Veer quickly realised that the promise of the blockchain technology far exceeded the boundaries of the financial world. Simultaneously it dawned that there was and is a huge gap between organisations that want to innovate with blockchain, and the complexities of the technology itself.
SettleMint was founded in 2016 to bridge this gap using distributed middleware solution. It encapsulates all R&D on the technical, operational and organisational aspects of this technology and packages it in an easy to use developer toolkit. Published under the form of software development kits (SDK) that contain smart contract templates, API layers, micro services and browser components.
